FAQ's

Tamara was born in Querétaro, México, an hour away from San Miguel de Allende, and lived there until her family moved to Phoenix when she was three years old.  When Conley asked Tamara to describe her dream wedding, her mind kept returning to one place:  México.

San Miguel de Allende embodies old-world México—centuries-old haciendas along winding cobblestone streets, a slow pace of life, vibrant flavors refined through generations, and bright color around every corner.  We are excited to share México’s rich culture with our guests!

We recommend flying into Querétaro International Airport (QRO), which is about 50 miles from San Miguel de Allende.  Several major airlines offer direct flights to Querétaro from the United States, including from Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and Atlanta. Other airport options and recommended airport shuttle services are listed in the Travel tab.

San Miguel de Allende’s historic center is highly walkable, safe, and easy to explore.  Most attractions are located just a short walk from each other.

For longer distances, Uber is a convenient and reliable option.  Taxis are also available throughout the city; we simply recommend confirming the fare before starting your ride.  Please note that most taxis require cash (in Mexican pesos).  Recommended taxi companies are listed in the Travel tab.

For recommended accommodations, including hotels providing discounted rates for wedding guests, please see the Travel tab.  In addition, San Miguel de Allende offers a wealth of boutique hotels and Airbnb for those interested in other options.

We recommend making reservations as soon as possible because accommodations may fill up quickly.

Transportation to wedding events will not be provided.  The wedding events are located in San Miguel de Allende’s historic center and within walking distance of the recommended accommodations.  We recommend walking, taking an Uber, or calling a local taxi.

The wedding events are for adults only.  Please reach out to us if you would like assistance coordinating childcare.

The dress code for the welcome party is smart casual, and the dress code for the wedding is black tie.
